AuditionCollective exists to solve a simple, persistent problem: audition postings for orchestras across the United States are scattered across hundreds of individual websites, with no single place a musician can go to see what’s actually open, where, and by when.

We built a centralized, continuously-updated database that tracks audition listings for orchestras, opera companies, and ballet orchestras in every U.S. state — instrumentalist positions only. Every organization in our database is checked directly against its own website; we don’t rely on rumor, forums, or secondhand postings.

How we verify listings

Every audition on the board is checked against the hiring organization’s own published materials — their audition page, a linked PDF, or an official announcement. We track application deadlines, preliminary and final audition dates, and update or remove listings as they change or expire. Listings are re-verified on a rolling basis so stale postings don’t linger.
